This chapter discusses modeling spaces, those group spaces that enable business analysts to collaborate in developing process models. It also explains how to use Process Spaces to customize your own modeling space
This chapter contains these topics:
Section 13.3, "Customizing a Process Modeling Space in Process Spaces"
Section 13.4, "Adding Members to the Modeling Space in Process Spaces"
Section 13.5, "Adding Documents to the Modeling Space in Process Spaces"
Section 13.6, "Participating in Modeling Space Discussions in Process Spaces"
Section 13.7, "Subscribing to a Modeling Space in Process Spaces"
A modeling space enables business analysts to collaborate on process models. This collaboration includes these activities:
Browsing published projects by using the Process Catalog—The Process Catalog shows all published processes. When you find and double-click a specific process, it opens in Business Process Composer. From there you can collaborate with process developers and designers to edit the processes.
Note:
If you browse the Process Catalog, and Single Sign-on is not set up, then you are prompted for the necessary credentials before being taken to Composer.Adding tasks by using Oracle WebCenter Portal—To track the progress of projects being developed, you can add tasks.
For information about adding tasks, see Oracle Fusion Middleware User's Guide for Oracle WebCenter Portal: Spaces
Add documents by using Oracle WebCenter Portal—Use this Oracle WebCenter Portal feature when collaborating on process models.
For information about adding documents, see Oracle Fusion Middleware User's Guide for Oracle WebCenter Portal: Spaces.
Figure 13-1 shows an example of a Process Spaces Modeling Space page.

Enables you to browse the various projects. When you find and double-click a specific project, the selected project opens in Business Process Composer. |
To enable collaboration on a specific set of processes, you can create a new group space by using the Process Modeling template. This creates a new group space that is a replica of the default modeling space.
The default Process Modeling Space can also be customized just like any group space.
To create a customized default group space from the Process Modeling template, customize and then save the template. To customize the template, first create a group space from it, then customize, save, and publish it as Process Modeling Template.
For information about customizing group space pages, see Oracle Fusion Middleware User's Guide for Oracle WebCenter Portal: Spaces.
For information about adding members to a modeling space, see Oracle Fusion Middleware User's Guide for Oracle WebCenter Portal: Spaces.
