Environment variables are parameters that configure the Oracle Reports environment. The Oracle Fusion Middleware installer automatically defines default values for relevant environment variables. Edit the environment variable settings to change the default behavior:
On Windows, edit the environment variables through the Registry Editor (Start > Run > Regedit).
On UNIX, edit the environment variables by revising and running the shell script that defines the initial default values (reports.sh
). If you do this, keep a backup of the original, unaltered reports.sh
file.
Note:
Thereports.sh
file in Oracle Reports 11g Release 1 (11.1.1) may contain some required changes for the release. Thus, if you have made any changes to the reports.sh
file in prior releases, save a backup before you perform your upgrade. Post-upgrade, merge your modifications with the reports.sh
file installed with Oracle Reports 11g Release 1 (11.1.1).The information in this appendix is also documented in the Oracle Reports online Help, which is available in Reports Builder or hosted on the Oracle Technology Network (OTN), as described in the Preface under "Related Documentation".
