A Integrating Discoverer portlets with Oracle WebCenter Spaces

This appendix discusses integrating Oracle BI Discoverer portlets with Oracle WebCenter Spaces, and contains the following topics:

A.1 What is Oracle WebCenter Spaces?

Oracle WebCenter Spaces provides technology for social networking, communication, collaboration, and personal productivity. Through a set of integrated services and applications, WebCenter Spaces integrates everything you require to exchange ideas with others, keep track of your personal and work-related tasks, interact with your critical applications, and zero in on your own projects and interests.

WebCenter Spaces can publish Discoverer portlet content to ensure that all the information you require to make informed decisions is within easy reach.

A.2 About integrating Discoverer portlets in Oracle WebCenter Spaces

You can integrate Discoverer portlets with Oracle WebCenter Spaces.

Discoverer portlets are standard PDK-Java portlets, which Oracle WebCenter Spaces supports.

For information about registering and using PDK-Java portlets with Oracle WebCenter Spaces, see the "Consuming Portlets" chapter in the Oracle Fusion Middleware Developer's Guide for Oracle WebCenter.

Note:

If you use Discoverer portlets with Oracle WebCenter Spaces, then you must ensure that both components are associated with the same Oracle Internet Directory.
