This chapter describes issues associated with Oracle Reports. It includes the following topics:
This section describes the general issues and their workarounds.
Section 36.1.2, "Assigning Reports Target to an Agent in Multi-Agent Case"
Section 36.1.3, "Mapping Users and Roles to Reports Application"
If you have installed Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.2.0) and your VNC has KDE and GNOME desktop managers, a Null pointer exception is displayed when you invoke the graph wizard.
You must use other desktop managers like fvwm to overcome this problem.
When a Farm has multiple Enterprise Manager agents, Reports target in a particular Instance may not be assigned to an agent automatically. This may lead to some data loss in Reports Enterprise Manager pages.
Perform the following steps to fix this issue:
Log in to Enterprise Manager.
From the Farm menu, select Agent Monitored Targets.
Click the Configure icon for the target that does not have any agent assigned to it.
The Configure Target page is displayed.
Click Change Agent.
From the Agent Host drop-down list, select the appropriate agent.
Click OK.
In Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.2.0) installation, roles and users are not added to the Reports application, by default. To run a report using JPS security, you must add roles and users to the Reports application.
For more information, see:
"Managing Application Roles" in the Oracle Fusion Middleware Security Guide.
"Managing Users and Security Policies" in the Oracle Fusion Middleware Publishing Reports to the Web with Oracle Reports Services manual.
If you pass the argument pdfuser=xxxx&pdfsecurity=NOCOPY
and try to open the report in Adobe Acrobat reader 9, the PDF Security option does not work.
To workaround this problem and to view your report in Adobe Reader 9, You must:
Pass the argument in the order, pdfsecurity=NOCOPY&pdfuser=xyz
OR
Add the property pdfowner=abc
to the current string.
This section describes interoperability issues and their workarounds. It includes the following topic:
Section 36.2.1, "Interoperability between Reports 11g Server and Reports 10.1.2.3 Client"
This interoperability scenario requires the patch 7597820 to be installed. You can download this patch from http://updates.oracle.com/download/7597820.html
. This patch is required to address the CORBA IDL changes between the two releases for the Job Status information. If you want to use rwservlet
of Reports 10g Release 2 (10.1.2.3) with the Reports 11g Release 1 (11.1.1) Server, ensure that you install this patch on 10.1.2.3 installation. You can download this patch from http://metalink.oracle.com
.
