By installing Oracle Enterprise Manager from this CD-ROM, you can manage a variety of targets within your enterprise, including hosts, databases, listeners, application servers, HTTP Servers, and Web applications.
After installing and deploying the Oracle Enterprise Manager components, you can use the Web-based Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Grid Control to:
Perform management tasks from your Web browser.
Easily track, monitor, and manage hardware and software configurations across your entire enterprise.
Create and maintain Enterprise Manager administrator accounts.
Monitor the performance and availability of hosts, databases, application servers, and other services through the use of automatic alerts and notifications.
Diagnose performance and availability issues by drilling down from high-level views of your environment to specific component monitoring and configuration pages.
