Oracle Application Server Web Cache can be deployed locally in your data center, or in a distributed environment as part of an Enterprise Content Deliver Network (eCDN).
For example, an organization might have all of its Web servers and databases located in the U.S. Formerly, the organization would have deployed mirror architectures at each of its international branches to speed up access to its applications. With OracleAS Web Cache, you can deploy a single Web Cache or a Web Cache cluster at each branch location in a hierarchy. The OracleAS Web Cache instance at the datacenter serves as the root and the remote OracleAS Web Cache instances as the branches, providing optimal performance and management. |
