Oracle Application Server Web Services extends the J2EE security model to Web services. This provides a comprehensive set of security facilities. These include:

Secure Connection: Using SSL (HTTPS) to secure the connection
Authentication: Basic and Digest Access Authentication can be enforced using HTTP(S) headers
Authorization: Authorization is supported by the JAAS User Manager

Oracle Enterprise Manager provides a single console for deploying and managing Web services. It can:

Deploy and monitor Web services
Publish, browse, and search Web services in UDDI registries
