Create Portals to Provide Self-Service Content

Many companies suffer from delays in publishing crucial information because of Webmaster bottlenecks. With Oracle Application Server Portal, any authorized user can post and share any kind of document or Web content with any other users anywhere in the world.

The OraDAV (Distributed Authoring and Versioning) extension further facilitates cooperative work. Oracle HTTP Server mod_oradav performs distributed read/writes to the file system. The OraDAV extension implements DAV functionality through an Oracle Application Server Portal interface to an Oracle database.

When you need to publish Web content, you use the simple self-service publishing environment to select content elements, refresh parameters, and specify a Web site location. Oracle Application Server Portal generates all links automatically.
