UDDI is a repository for registering and discovering Web service descriptions. It stores descriptions of companies and the Web services they offer in a standard XML format. The Oracle Application Server UDDI registry is a fully UDDI 2.0 compliant registry, supporting the following features:

Web Services Discovery: Inquiry APIs for searching and browsing for Web services, and publishing APIs for registering, updating, or deleting Web services

Subscription service allowing publishers in the registry to monitor or obtain changes in the registry

Interoperability with the ResolveNet Global Business Registry (TM) and APIs for importing and exporting Web service descriptions with external UDDI repositories
