Preface

This manual provides a complete verb reference, which duplicates and enhances the command line help, for the Enterprise Manager Command Line Interface (EM CLI). This manual also covers concepts, installation, and provides an error code reference chapter.

Audience

This guide is written for Enterprise Manager adminisrators who want to perform operations remotely or script them. You should already be familiar with Oracle Enterprise Manager.

Convention Meaning
boldface Boldface type indicates graphical user interface elements associated with an action, or terms defined in text or the glossary.
italic Italic type indicates book titles, emphasis, or placeholder variables for which you supply particular values.
monospace Monospace type indicates commands within a paragraph, URLs, code in examples, text that appears on the screen, or text that you enter.
