17 Deinstalling ADP and JVMD

This chapter describes how you can deinstall Application Dependency and Performance (ADP), and JVM Diagnotics (JVMD) in the Enterprise Manager Cloud Control environment.

Deinstalling ADP Manager

To remove the ADP Manager application running on the Managed Server, perform the following steps:

In Cloud Control, from the Targets menu, select Middleware.
On the Middleware page, from Middleware Features menu, select Application dependency and Performance.

The Application dependency and Performance is displayed.
From the Registration tab, select the ADP manager application, and click Remove.
Log in to WebLogic Administration Console of Enterprise Manager Domain.
On the Home Page, click Servers.
From the Summary of Servers page, click Control tab, then select the ADP Manager Servers.
From the Shutdown menu, select Force Shutdown Now to stop the servers.
Click the Configuration tab, select ADP Manager Servers, then click Delete.
Undeploy the ADP applications. For example, ADPManager_EMGC_ADPMANAGER1 for ADP.
Connect to the host machine where the Managed Server was present, and navigate to the following location to manually delete the Managed Server:

$DOMAIN_HOME/<ADP_managed_server>

Where, $DOMAIN_HOME is the location of the Cloud Control domain
```

Deinstalling ADP Agents

To remove the agents which are deployed to the ADP Manager, perform the following steps:

In Cloud Control, from Targets menu, select Middleware.
On the Middleware page, from Middleware Features menu, select Application dependency and Performance.

The Application dependency and Performance is displayed.
From the Configuration tab, select the desired ADP Manager application on which the agent(s) have been deployed.
Expand the ADP Manager menu, select Resource Configuration.
From the Resource table, select the agent name, and click Edit Resource, and then click Deploy.
From the Deploy Parameters table, select the servers to undeploy the agent. Change the default menu select from Deploy to:
- Remove, to erase all the agent files from the application servers.
- Disable, to remove the agent startup arguments from the application servers
  
  Note:
  Select the Server Started by Node Manager option only when the node manager is used.

Deinstalling JVMD Managers

To remove the JVMD Manager application running on the Managed Server, perform the following steps:

Log in to WebLogic Administration console.
On the Home Page, click Deployments.
Select the JVMD application (jammanagerEMGC_JVMDMANAGER1), from Stop menu, select Force Stop Now.
After they are stopped, select the same applications, and click Delete.
Click Home to go back to the WebLogic Administration home page. From the Environment table, select Servers.
From the Summary of Servers page, click Control tab, then select the JVMD Manager Servers that need to be shut down.
From the Shutdown menu, select Force Shutdown Now to stop the servers.
Click the Configuration tab, select JVMD Manager Servers, then click Delete.

Deinstalling JVMD Agents

To remove the agents which are deployed to the JVMD Manager, perform the following steps:

Log in to the Domain Administration Console of the target server.
On the Home Page, click Deployments.
Select the JVMD Agent application (javadiagnosticagent<server_name>.ear or jamagent.ear), from Stop menu, select Force Stop Now.
After they are stopped, select the same applications, and click Delete.
Log in to Enterprise Manager Cloud Control.
In Cloud Control, from Targets menu, click Middleware.
On the Middleware page, in the Search table, search for targets of type Java Virtual Machine, select the target corresponding to the server, and click Remove.
