keytool utility creates public and private keys and generates X509 self-signed certificates. The J2EE SDK version of the keytool utility has the same options as the version distributed with the J2SE SDK . However, the J2EE version programatically adds a JavaTM Cryptographic Extension provider that has impementations of RSA algorithms (licensed from RSA Data Security).
