Before heading up for installation let\u2019s understand\u00a0<strong>NTGS3G<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h5>What is NTFS3G<\/h5>\n<p><strong>NTFS3G<\/strong>\u00a0is an open source cross-platform, stable,\u00a0<strong>GPL<\/strong>\u00a0licensed,\u00a0<strong>POSIX<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>NTFS<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>R\/W<\/strong>\u00a0driver used in\u00a0<strong>Linux<\/strong>. FUSE module is included in the kernel itself in version 2.6.18-164 or newer.<\/p>\n<pre># yum install fuse\r\n# modprobe fuse<\/pre>\n<h5>Identify NTFS Partition<\/h5>\n<p>Once fuse module is loaded, type below command to find out\u00a0<strong>NTFS Partitions<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0<strong>Linux<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<pre># fdisk -l<\/pre>\n<pre> Device Boot      Start    End      Blocks   Id  System\r\n\/dev\/sdb1         1\t   21270    7816688   b  W95 FAT32<\/pre>\n<h5>Mount NTFS partition<\/h5>\n<p>First create a mount point to mount the\u00a0<strong>NTFS<\/strong>\u00a0partition.<\/p>\n<pre># mkdir \/mnt\/nts<\/pre>\n<p>Simply run the following command to mount the partition.
