      CumulusClips application only runs in Unix\/Linux operating systems. Following are the requirements to run CumulusClips on Linux platform.<\/p>\n

      2. MySQL 5.0+ and FTP<\/li>\n
      3. PHP 5.2+ with GD, curl, simplexml and zip modules.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
        PHP Settings<\/h5>\n

        Following are the PHP requirements.<\/p>\n

            Installing CumulusClips in RHEL\/CentOS\/Fedora and Debian\/Ubuntu\/Linux Mint<\/h3>\n

            Installing CumulusClips script is a very simple and involves few easy straightforward steps. Before you can start with the install process, make sure that your server meets the requirements for running CumulusClips script.<\/p>\n

            Step:1 Install Required Packages<\/h4>\n

            Let\u2019s first, install required packages that needed to run CumulusClips video sharing application on the system, using the following easy steps.<\/p>\n

            On RedHat, CentOS and Fedora<\/h5>\n
            # yum install httpd mysql mysql-server \r\n# yum install php php-mysql php-xml pcre php-common php-curl php-gd<\/pre>\n
            Once, the required packages are installed, start the Apache and MySQL service.<\/p>\n
            # service httpd start\r\n# service mysqld start<\/pre>\n
            Next, install FFMPEG package by enabling third party\u00a0RPMForge Repository<\/a>\u00a0under your Linux distributions.<\/p>\n
            # yum install ffmpeg<\/pre>\n
            On Debian, Ubuntu and Linux Mint<\/h5>\n
            On Debian based system, you can easily install required packages using following commands.<\/p>\n
            $ sudo apt-get install apache2 mysql-server mysql-client\r\n$ sudo apt-get install php5 libapache2-mod-auth-mysql libmysqlclient15-dev php5-mysql curl libcurl3 libcurl3-dev php5-curl \r\n$ sudo apt-get install ffmpeg<\/pre>\n
            $ sudo service apache2 start\r\n$ sudo service mysql start<\/pre>\n
            Step 2: Create Database and User<\/h4>\n
            Next, create a database and database user to run CumulusClips. Use the following commands to create a database and a user.<\/p>\n
            # mysql -u root -p\r\nEnter password:\r\nWelcome to the MySQL monitor.  Commands end with ; or \\g.\r\nYour MySQL connection id is 5340 to server version: 3.23.54\r\n\r\nType 'help;' or '\\h' for help. Type '\\c' to clear the buffer.\r\n\r\nmysql> CREATE DATABASE cumulusclips<\/strong>;\r\nQuery OK, 1 row affected (0.00 sec)\r\n\r\nmysql> GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON cumulusclips<\/strong>.* TO \"cumulus<\/strong>\"@\"localhost\" IDENTIFIED BY \"password<\/strong>\";\r\nQuery OK, 0 rows affected (0.00 sec)\r\n\r\nmysql> FLUSH PRIVILEGES;\r\nQuery OK, 0 rows affected (0.01 sec)\r\n\r\nmysql> quit<\/pre>\n
            Note<\/strong>: The above, database name, username, and password will required later at the installation wizard.<\/p>\n
            Step 3: Configure PHP Settings<\/h4>\n
            Open \u2018php.ini<\/strong>\u2018 configuration file and make the following changes as suggested.<\/p>\n
            # vi \/etc\/php.ini\t\t\t[on RedHat<\/strong> based Systems]<\/pre>\n
            $ sudo nano \/etc\/php5\/apache2\/php.ini\t[on Debian<\/strong> based Systems]<\/pre>\n
            Search and modify values as suggested in the following.<\/p>\n
            upload_max_filesize = 110M<\/strong>\r\npost_max_size = 110M<\/strong>\r\nmax_execution_time = 1500<\/strong>\r\nopen_basedir = no value<\/strong>\r\nsafe_mode = Off<\/strong>\r\nregister _globals = Off\r\n<\/strong><\/pre>\n
            Save and close the file after making changes. Next restart Apache Web Server.<\/p>\n
            # service httpd restart\t\t\t[on RedHat<\/strong> based Systems]<\/pre>\n
            $ sudo service apache2 restart\t\t[on Debian<\/strong> based Systems]<\/pre>\n
            Step 4: Install and Configure FTP<\/h4>\n
            Now, install FTP server (i.e.\u00a0vsftpd<\/strong>) on your Linux OS, using the following command.<\/p>\n
            # yum install vsftpd\t\t\t[on RedHat<\/strong> based Systems]<\/pre>\n
            $ sudo apt-get install vsftpd\t\t[on Debian<\/strong> based Systems]<\/pre>\n
            Once Vsftpd installed, you can adjust the configuration as shown below. Open up the configuration file.<\/p>\n
            # vi \/etc\/vsftpd\/vsftpd.conf\t\t[on RedHat<\/strong> based Systems]<\/pre>\n
            $ sudo nano \/etc\/vsftpd.conf\t\t[on Debian<\/strong> based Systems]<\/pre>\n
            Change the \u2018anonymous_enable<\/strong>\u2018 to\u00a0NO<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
            anonymous_enable=NO<\/pre>\n
            After that, remove \u2018#<\/strong>\u2018 at the beginning of line \u2018local_enable<\/strong>\u2018 option, changing it to\u00a0YES<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
            local_enable=YES<\/pre>\n
            Please remove the \u2018#<\/strong>\u2018 at the start of these lines to enable all the local users to chroot to their home directories and will not have access to any other part of server.<\/p>\n
            chroot_local_user=YES\r\nchroot_list_enable=YES\r\nchroot_list_file=\/etc\/vsftpd\/chroot_list<\/pre>\n
            Finally restart the vsftpd service.<\/p>\n
            # service vsfptd restart\t\t[on RedHat<\/strong> based Systems]<\/pre>\n
            $ sudo service vsftpd restart\t\t[on Debian based<\/strong> Systems]<\/pre>\n
            Step 5: Download & Install CumulusClips<\/h4>\n
            To begin, you must first grab your free copy of CumulusClips script at\u00a0http:\/\/cumulusclips\/download\/<\/a>, or you may use following\u00a0wget<\/strong>\u00a0command to download it as shown below.<\/p>\n
            # cd \/var\/www\/html\/\t\t\t[on RedHat<\/strong> based Systems]<\/pre>\n
            # cd \/var\/www\/\t\t\t\t[on Debian<\/strong> based Systems]<\/pre>\n
            # wget http:\/\/cumulusclips.org\/cumulusclips.tar.gz\r\n# tar -xvf cumulusclips.tar.gz\r\n# cd cumulusclips<\/pre>\n
            Now grant the \u2018777<\/strong>\u2018 (read, write and execute) permission on the following directories. Make sure these directories are writable by Web Server and PHP.<\/p>\n

            # chmod -R 777 cc-core\/logs\r\n# chmod -R 777 cc-content\/uploads\/flv\r\n# chmod -R 777 cc-content\/uploads\/mobile\r\n# chmod -R 777 cc-content\/uploads\/temp\r\n# chmod -R 777 cc-content\/uploads\/thumbs\r\n# chmod -R 777 cc-content\/uploads\/avatars<\/pre>\n
            Next, grant the ownership to cumulusclips for web server to be writeable.<\/p>\n
            # chown -R apache:apache \/var\/www\/html\/cumulusclips\t\t[on RedHat<\/strong> based Systems]<\/pre>\n
            # chown -R www-data:www-data \/var\/www\/cumulusclips\t\t[on Debian<\/strong> based Systems]<\/pre>\n
            Step 6: CumulusClips Installation Wizard<\/h5>\n
            Once everything is ready, you can have access to your CumulusClips installation wizard at the (http:\/\/your-domain.com\/cumulusclips\/cc-install\/<\/b>), using your web browser.<\/p>\n

            The installation wizard will verify the files are writable by the web server. If not, you will be asked to enter FTP credentials to perform future updates and other file system changes.<\/p>\n
