CONTENT_LENGTH

Retrieves the length in bytes of the requested content item as supplied by the client.

This variable is specific to the current gateway program request.

Important:

This setting is obsolete for version 7.0 and later. The Web server filter no longer sends this information.

Type and Usage

Output

Returns the content length in bytes.

Example

As information output on a page or to a log:

CONTENT_LENGTH=0

As part of an Idoc Script statement or evaluation:
