The J2ME Wireless Toolkit WMA Bridge API provides a mechanism to plug J2SE programs into the internal emulated wireless messaging environment of the Toolkit.

Please note that this API does not reflect the "real world" wireless messaging environment, which would include a wireless operator's SMSC and possibly other systems. The WMA Bridge API is not a standard of any sort; it is only an API into the internal emulated messaging environment of the Wireless Toolkit.

The WMA Bridge API consists of two packages:

  com.sun.kvem.midp.io.j2se.wma
  com.sun.kvem.midp.io.j2se.wma.client

The Wireless Toolkit includes an example J2SE program that uses this API to provide a simple command-line messaging console. The example is located in the {j2mewtk}/apps/SMSDemo/bridgeAPIExample directory.
