A new animated guide to the Rust programming language is ready.

🦀 The guide explains Rust from the ground up: Cargo, editions and toolchains, variables, types, ownership, borrowing, references, slices, lifetimes, structs, enums, pattern matching, Option, Result, generics, traits, collections, iterators, closures, testing, documentation, smart pointers, concurrency, async programming, macros, unsafe Rust, and C interoperability through FFI.

The ecosystem section covers important crates and tools including Tokio, Serde, Reqwest, Clap, Axum, SQLx, Rayon, Polars, ndarray, Bevy, and egui.

The animated guide was created with mtoon, a utility from the mshell Ecosystem.
